Miles Away-dedicated to Rebecca

Description

Based upon the opening chord progression from J.S. Bach’s Fantasia in C Minor BWV 906, this piece shifts the balance from right-hand melody with gentle left-hand accompaniment to left-hand melody. It is great opportunity for students to practice miming the accompaniment hand while singing out and shaping the hand with the melody. It is dedicated to my daughter, Rebecca, who moved across the country to pursue her dreams. Although I miss her very much, I am proud of her for making such a difference in this world through her work.
