Description
Dolphins At Play has a left hand ostinato running through the majority of the piece with harmonic shifts every two measures from the 3 black keys to 3 white keys. This effect creates the feel of going underwater and then coming up for air. It begins with a simple and very light melody in the right hand. There is a gradual build up to the ff climax and then the piece slowly fades away. Performing this piece feels like taking a magical underwater journey.
